Mangrove habitats are essential for preserving biodiversity, safeguarding coastal populations, lowering
risks associated with climate change, and promoting environmental sustainability. However, especially
in climate-vulnerable areas, these priceless ecosystems are under growing threat from human-caused
deterioration, climate change, poor governance, and insufficient monitoring systems. This research
looks at how new technology might help preserve environmental human rights and effectively conserve
mangroves. The study uses a qualitative approach that combines doctrinal legal analysis with
comparative analysis. Through an analysis of current scientific literature, environmental reports, policy
documents, and legal structures pertaining to technologically based governance of the environment, the
study assesses the use of emerging technological tools, such as satellite-based monitoring systems,
remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The efficacy
of various technologies in ecosystem monitoring, early deterioration detection, availability of data, and
decision-making procedures is the main emphasis of the comparison. The results show that by
increasing the precision and effectiveness of environmental monitoring methods, facilitating the prompt
detection of alterations to ecosystems, and bolstering empirically supported conservation tactics, new
technologies greatly improve mangrove management. While AI-based methods have the ability to
enhance resource management and predictive analysis, GIS and remote sensing technologies offer
useful spatial data for evaluating mangrove degradation and restoration initiatives. Digital
environmental networks may also enhance accessibility for the public to environmental data, boost
openness, and encourage local and indigenous populations to participate more actively in conservation
efforts. However, the report highlights important issues, such as weak institutional capacity, digital
inequality, restricted technology infrastructure, and poor incorporation of technological remedies into
current legal and regulatory frameworks. The results highlight the need for inclusive community
involvement, efficient laws, and supporting governance structures in order to accomplish sustainable
mangrove protection through technical innovation alone. The study comes to the conclusion that
combining cutting-edge technology with robust legal frameworks and participatory governance
processes offers a viable strategy to enhance mangrove sustainability and advance environmental
human rights preservation in areas that are susceptible to climate change. |
